But few of us have been given the knowledge and skills of how a talk should be structured or how to deliver a talk. Giving a presentation, then, can be a frightening prospect for many of us. This course is meant to correct these deficiencies and give you the confidence and skills to become an effective speaker. This short course will help you to deliver a good talk regardless of venue or timings by proving tips and guideline.The course is an initiative of Professional Skills Training Centre (PSTC) under James P. Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University.The course is funded and supported by USAIDs’ Next Generation of Public Health Experts Project (NGPHEP).

This course provides an introduction to quantitative research methods in public health. The aim of the course is to familiarize students with quantitative research methods, as well as to guide them to gain practical skills of conducting quantitative research. As survey research is considered to be the main method of quantitative research, students will sequentially learn all its’ stages from identifying a research topic to data collection, data analysis and data presentation.The course is an initiative of Professional Skills Training Centre (PSTC) under James P.
